Created by botanical artist Dimitris Koutroumpas and floral designer Gaia Eros, the installation brings together reclaimed technology, natural systems and living materials to explore a simple but urgent idea: the systems we build should give back more than they take.
At its core, Enmeshed draws a direct parallel between two powerful networks. The world wide web, built by humans to exchange information, and the underground mycelium networks that connect forests and sustain ecosystems. Different systems, same principle. Shared resource, mutual benefit, continuous exchange.
That is exactly where Relove sits.
This isn’t a brand attaching itself to a sustainability story. This is the model in physical form.
The sculpture is built on a base of upcycled circuitry and communications hardware recovered through Relove’s circular recovery operation. Technology that would typically be written off is instead repurposed, recontextualised and put back into use. Not as waste, but as material with ongoing value.
For over 20 years, Relove has been doing exactly that at scale. Recovering, refurbishing and reintroducing devices back into circulation while protecting data, maintaining compliance and preserving commercial value. To date, that work has diverted more than 18,000 tonnes of e-waste from landfill and extended the life of nearly 100 million devices.
We’ve always believed that technology should not end at first use. The value is still there, it just needs the right system around it.

The installation itself pushes that thinking further.
Its outer layer is formed from lime-treated hessian and hemp fibres, designed to actively absorb carbon as it sets while filtering pollutants from the air. Living fungi and native planting integrate the structure into a functioning biological system, reinforcing the connection between natural and man-made networks.
The concept is rooted in biomimicry, the idea that the most effective systems we can build already exist in nature. Instead of forcing new solutions, we learn from what works and apply it commercially, at scale.
That shift matters.
Because circularity only works when it moves beyond theory and into operational reality. When it protects margin as well as the environment. When it fits inside existing supply chains instead of sitting outside them.
That is the difference between talking about sustainability and actually delivering it.
